What motivated you to start in this field?
Sal Manzano, one of the best-known lowrider painters, is the one who taught me how to paint. I always had an admiration for classic cars dating back to the age of 9. My 4th grade teacher had a chopped ‘49 Mercury and that is what sparked my initial interest in custom cars and lowriders.
If you weren't painting, what would be a plan B for your career?
If I was not painting, I believe I would have continued with college and gone into the graphic design field or probably would have gotten into some sort of law enforcement or military career (being that my dad and brother are in the Marine Corps).
